Even during the holidays, when homes are filled with lights, gatherings, and good cheer, the real estate market doesn’t stop. At The Huemmer Home Team, we often hear sellers assume that if a home doesn’t sell in December, it must be because of the season. In reality, homes usually don’t sell for very specific, predictable reasons, regardless of the time of year.
The most common reason a home doesn’t sell is overpricing. Buyers today are extremely informed. With instant access to comparable sales, price history, and market trends, they know when a home is priced above market value. Even during the holidays, buyers are still shopping with logic.
